It's just there, I guess. Maybe it's a play on how the White Legendary is in the Black game and the Black Legendary in the White game, so I guess they decided to do the same with these version exclusive Pokemon, give the Black-Exclusive to White and White-Exclusive to Black.
Also another theory: Manga doesn't really have this "different universe" thing (i.e. version exclusive)
