To evolve Inkay, how long do you have to hold the system upside down?

I would like to have to hold my system upside down for the least amount of time possible while evolving Inkay. So, do you have to hold the system upside down for the entire battle or just when it levels up?

You have to hold it upside down until it levels up. That's also the reason Inkay will evolve if you feed it a Rare Candy while upside down.

Hi, I struggled a bit with this too lol. Turn it so the text on the screen is upside down, not so that you see the back of it.

Feed that sucker a rare candy (not that rare [spam wonder trade]) and watch (everything upside down) as you get your malamar.
