Are IVs, EVs, and Super Training worth it to start battling as a beginner?

I'm going to start getting into battling and I want to know if iv ev and super training are worth the time to do

Use http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/ if you don't want to deal with the long training process. Just be prepared, the opponents there are more competent than the players on the Battle Spot.

Yes, in fact if you want to do competitive battling then you need to be concerned with your Pokemon IVs and EVs so that your Pokemon can be the best that they can be. Breeding for perfect IVs and then EV training is the key to success in the competitive field. Be warned however, as breeding Pokemon and EV training take a significant amount of time, and because of this many people either Gen or use Pokemon Showdown for competitive battle.
