Just to clarify with perish song..?

Question

If I was to use mean look and then use perish song and use protect to stall until you need to switch out from being killed. Would the foe be able to switch out or not when I switch?

Answer 1

If you mean that you are the one switching out before getting killed, then yes, your opponent will be able to switch out afterwards.
As soon as the user of mean look switches out, the opponent can as well.
Your opponent can have ways to escape even earlier, if it carries u-turn for example.
