What happens if I use a Burn inflicting move but the target is already paralyzed?

I mean, it can't have two status conditions right?

It will fail. Once a Pokemon has a status move, you can't give it another or replace it. If the move causes damage as well as a burn, the move will do the damage but will fail to burn.
