However you're more likey because statistically you're encountering 5 Pokemon at a chance .

Without Shiny Charm

So a shiny chance for a random encounter would be : 1/8192
A Horde would get it up to : 5/8192

With Shiny Charm

Random Encounter : 1/1365.3
Horde Encounter : 5/1365.3

In a way. Sweet scent lures Pokemon to you faster and increases the chance of horde encounters. This way, you might be able to track shinies faster since you increasing your encountering rate. So, it probability does increase by a small amount.
