If you use Freeze-Dry on a Water type with Thick Fat, will it be super effective?

I was just thinking about Azumarill and how to counter it (My OU team has somewhat of an Azumarill weakness) and I thought of this.

If you hit a pure water type with freeze dry, it's super effective. If it hits a pure water type with thick fat, it does normal damage. However, azumarill almost never runs thick fat, as it runs huge power instead. Ice hits fairy normally, so freeze dry on most azumarill will be super effective.
