Will sand attack go away if opponent switches Pokemon or will its reduced accuracy effect all Pokemon?

I know Sand attack can lower accuracy but what if your opponent switches Pokemon will the effects stay or go away cause it's a different Pokemon? I'm training my trapinch and it knows sand attack and I wanted to lvl it up to a flygon but I wanna know if sand attack can help me in battles and if I should keep it

Go away

Sand Attack loses its effect if the Pokemon whichh had lost its accuracy switches in. It has no effect whatsoever on the succeeding Pokemon.

If the opponent is an intensive baton passer, the stat change will pass on to the next Pokemon, otherwise stats are reset after switching or using moves like U-Turn or Parting Shot.
