Can I soft reset for a shiny Event Pokemon?

Just out of sheer curiosity, I am wondering if you can soft reset for Pokemon that are not already shiny. If it is, then yay.

Unfotunately, no.

Game Freak gives their Event Pokémon specific features which cannot vary and are all distributed equally.

Sometimes they do Shiny Events such as the most recent Metagross Event but you cannot soft-reset for your Event Pokémon to be shiny. They can only be shiny if that's the intention of Game Freak.

If you mean, like mystery gift Pokemon and stuff like that, I don't think so as they're selected their abilities and items and if it's shiny or not by Game Freak

No, sadly no non-shiny events can be shiny unless you Powersave it in.
