Which is better, Mega Latios or Life Orb Latios for a mixed set?

I'm going to be running Mixed Latios. This is the set I plan to use:

Latios @ ???
Ability: Levitate
Mild Nature
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Draco Meteor
-Luster Purge / Psyshock / Psychic

I'm not sure which item would be better, though. Life Orb does make it pack a punch, but is the HP loss worth it? And if I use Latiosite, is the power worth the loss of a Mega slot? Any help would be appreciated!

The only controversy with mega latios is the mega slot which is definitely a problem. You really have to analyze whether another mega might be worth more

Why would you have Dragon Dance if you only have E-Quake as a physical move?

Yeah, lol. I'm gonna use Lando-T (rocks), Ferrothorn, Rotom-W, Greninja (Talonflame when it gets banned) and Thundurus.

And I have DD for the speed boosts as well. At +1 Mega Latios outspeeds Mega Metagross and 2HKOes with EQ.

No you should be running a physical set with ddance and take advantage of it not just limited to equake

As a normal Latios, even with the Life Orb, it's physical attacks won't do nearly as much as it would as a Mega Latios. So I say you use the Latiosite.
