I'm new here (this is my first question) so I'm not sure if in-game moveset questions are allowed... I know they're prohibited in RMT but are they here? Anyways, if I broke any rule, I'm really sorry.
I have a Lilligant in Pokémon Y and I'm not sure what move I should give it. The set I'm going with so far is:
Lily (Lilligant) @ Metronome
Nature: Rash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
- Quiver Dance
- Giga Drain
- Synthesis
- Petal Dance
I love Quiver Dance for the three stat boost, and Giga Drain is essential for recovery. I have Petal Dance in there for powerful STAB and also because it goes really well with Metronome and Own Tempo, but I'm not sure about it. Petal Dance goes on continuously for 2-3 turns so I won't have any change to recover in between. Also, many types are resistant to Grass, so my Lilligant could be easily rendered useless. But it's so strong that it could even reliable 1HKO most resistant Pokémon.
So I'm kinda stuck in a dilemma here: should I stay with Petal Dance, or swap to Energy Ball? I know there's another question comparing them, but I'm also wondering about Hidden Power, Nature Power, or even a status move like Toxic, since this is for battling in-game at Battle Maison.
If it helps, the Hidden Power for my Lilligant is Bug-typed. Thanks for any suggestions!
