Can Latios be encountered Shiny in OR/AS?

Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to get Latios shiny in omega ruby? Meaning the one that you receive without the eon ticket. I am curious and have been unable to find any answers online. Thanks.

None of the legendaries in ORAS, except Rayquaza, Deoxys and Groudon/Kyogre, are shiny locked. I actually caught a shiny Latias in my Alpha Sapphire game (after like 50 resets).

Groudon and Kyogre are also shiny-locked.

There are Four possible ways to get a shiny Latias/Latios or any Legendary.

1: Trade with a friend
2: Use Wonder Trade and hope to get lucky
3: Save before battling Latias/Latios and Soft Reset until you find one
(Soft Reset by pushing L,R,Select and Start at the same time)
4: Use the Pokemon Bank app to transfer shiny Pokemon from past games to ORAS
