Hey guys, since ORAS has officially come out now, I might as well ask this.

As we all know you can't Mega Evolve two Pokémon in the same battle... however can you change Groudon/Kyogre into their Primal Form and Mega Evolve a Pokémon, such as Rayquaza in the same battle?

I'd probably say no, but there are a few reasons why I'm not sure about this, one being that you don't change Groudon and Kyogre's Form with a Mega Stone, but with the Red/Blue Orb. Also according to Showdown when given the Red/Blue Orb, Groudon and Kyogre revert into their Primal Form as soon as they enter the battle, I don't know how they actually know this, but it's what happens on Showdown.

Please DO NOT test this out on Showdown, I've already tested it on there and it allowed me to Mega Evolve Gengar and change Kyogre into it's Primal Form in the same battle. However, it also allowed me to change both Groudon and Kyogre into their Primal Forms in another battle, because of this I deemed Showdown unreliable, as let's be honest Showdown has made it's fair share of errors in the past.

You'll have to wait until someone clears the game :P I should be done within 12 hours :P
Yeah I know. I may have to wait longer than 12 hours though for someone to test it :P
Dennis pulling his all nighters. Bad boy imo.

Also, I'm thinking chances are, you probably can. Nothing particularly OP about Primal Kyogre and Groudon anyway so it makes no impact if you can imo .3.!
This has been answered a long time ago... Not here, but on the internet some where.
Well I obviously didn't see it, hence why I asked the question, but thanks for the down vote!

Yes, you can have Primals and Megas active at the same time. This means that you can literally bring Primal Kyorge, Primal Groudon and Mega Rayquaza into a battle:

>CONFIRMED: PRIMAL REVERSION does not prevent MEGA EVOLUTION or vice versa. Can have both. (2 primals too!)
CONFIRMED: RED/BLUE ORB HELD ITEMS trigger PRIMAL REVERSION when the Pokemon is switched in.

This was part of the OR/AS demo info dumps. Unless they changed something in the demo (unlikely), then this is correct. It also means that Showdown's mechanics all worked correctly.
