Can I get the ORAS demo if I pre-ordered the game? And how?

This demo can be downloaded from the eShop by using a special serial code, which can be obtained from one of many various sources:

  • From the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter. If you do not already have an account, register on Pokemon.com and make sure to set your email preferences in your profile to receive the newsletter on October 20th. This appears to be the only way to receive a demo code in America.
  • From certain online retailers by pre-ordering Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire or having bought X/Y in the past. For the UK this includes Amazon.co.uk, Smyths Toys, ShotTo.net or the Nintendo UK Official Store.
  • From a 'Nintendo Zone' in participating outlets. This is usually your national gaming store such as GAME.

Full details for your location can be found by going to Pokemonrubysapphire.com and then from the menu choosing Cool Features then Special Demo Version.

Personally, I got my code from Nintendo Newsletter, though I did register my Pokemon X and Y online, which could play a factor if Nintendo provides promotions based on your purchase history. Best to check the website for details.

I actually didn't get the newsletter today. I got it on the 15/10/14. Also not sure about newsletter - I have a theory that the nintendo newsletter could potentially be tailored according to your purchase history and registration of games on Club Nintendo potentially affecting the promotions you get.

Though I'm not really sure whether it was a newsletter - it was an email titled "Special Gift For You - Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo!"

No you will not get demo ifnu preorder it. If you look on serebii it tells us how each country gets the demo. you will only get if you get serial code from newsletter.

Good luck trying get the demo only certain am out people can get it.
