Do Power Items affect Super Training?

Question

Since I do tend to Super Train often, and since I did go through the trouble of obtaining every single Power item, I want to know: Does having a Power item on a Pokemon affect its Super Training?

No

Each Super Training balloon has a set number of EVs it gives that cannot be altered in any way, including with Pokerus, Power Items, etc.

Is the only way to increase the earned evs is by traditional training?

You can Horde EV train.  http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/a-guide-to-ev-training-with-hordes.3490052/
But you can't boost EV training at all if you do Super Training.
