I was just wondering what are some of the best Fossil Pokemon. Including stats and movepools and stuff like that. I was thinking of using one on my team as a surfer. So what are all of the pros and cons of the fossil Pokemon? If there are some you don't know and can only do a few or even one, it's ok. The fossil Pokemon:
Armaldo
Cradily
Rampardos
Omastar
Aerodactyl
Kabutops
Bastiodon
Archeops
Carracosta
Aurorus
Tyrantrum

Thanks-

Armaldo: Good NU / RU spinner, high Def and Good Attack, good movepool. Defeated by farily common stuff, is weak to Stealth Rocks and has no reliable recovery.

Craydilly: Good SpDef sponge, reasonable movepool, instant recovery, can use Stockpile + Sandstorm to wall almost anything specially . No notable resistances except water via Storm Drain, sub-par offence and quite a few weaknesses.

Rampardos: Extremely High Attack, great movepool, can sweep through abilities with Mold Breaker. Subpar Def, bad speed, easily revenge killed, so doesn't stay very long, and single rock typing isn't very useful.

Omastar: Reasonable Defences, good attacking and speed. Excellent use of Shell Smash. Poor Defence afterwards and easily walled by kinda common stuff, and very easily revenge killed. Poor typing, poor Rock Stab choices.

Aerodactal: Excellent Speed, high offences, great movepool and coverage, and a Mega to improve these traits. Bad abilities, Defence, easily killed, kinda bad typing and takes up the mega Slot from better assets.

Kabutops: Good abilities, decent movepool, great offensive presence, good spinner. Poor Typing, defences and lack of Coverage.

Bastioidon: Great Defences, good movepool. Very hard to revenge kill. Bad typing, low speed, poor offences, synergy

Archeops:; Awesome offence presence, great movepool, great at mixed sets, quite fast. One of the worst abilities in the game, easily revenge killed, and very low Defences.

Carracosta: See Omastar, but with much more bulk and slightly better movepool, but worse attack and speed.

Auroras: Good ability, Ice is a nice attacking type, very high HP. God awful typing, bad movepool and low offensive presence.

Tytantrum:: High attack, high defence, good abilities, okay typing, okay movepool. Other stats are poor and gets outspeed and/or revenge killed easily but special sweepers, and has no instant recovery to help it.

I'll add in movesets and roles if you want me too :P.

Rampardos @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker / Sheer Force
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash / Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Fire Punch / Pursuit / Superpower

Rampardos is best for destroying powerful walls that other cannot, so focus more on instant power than other items / spreads. It can also force switches, racking up SR damage. HP is just so it survive more than one damn Head Smash, or to make it generally bulky if you use Stone Edge. Last move it just whatever you want, either for coverage, trapping or power.

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Rapid Spin
- Aqua Jet
- Stone Edge

Powerful revenge killer that gets faster every hit. Can force out switches against weaker Pokemon to give free spins, or set up to sweep.

Armaldo @ Leftovers
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- X-Scissor

Powerful wall with the ability to attack. Can take decent physical hits and is able to both spin away and set up hazards as you need them.

OK so the fossil Pokemon are all rock types, which are weak to five very common types used;Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, and Steel. But they are Very bulky and very Unlikely to get OHKO'd (rampardos, Archeops, and Kabutops dont count) Fossil sweepers, such as Rampardos, Archeops and kabutops can Dominate a game if Even the opponent makes the tiniest mistake such as rampardos rock polishing on a resting manaphy Who is Using hydration and rain dance and the rain stops right after it used rest Rampardos can Rock polish all the way and dominate the game.... I hope I didnt give you any ideas.Fosill Pokemon are obtained the easiest needing not a ultra ball or any kind of pokeball and given to you at level 20, after gym 1 or 2 making a good Pokemon in-game.Personally My favorite of the fossil Pokemon is Rampardos.
