Are they going to ever remake a remake?

Question

So for example, are they going to remake Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, which are already remakes?

Edit: So... Yellow is getting a remake. Called it?

This is one of those questions where it's impossible to answer until it is confirmed or unless you speak to Game Freak. OR and AS aren't even out yet never mind a remake for FR and LG. If a remake is made for them it probably won't be released until Gen 7 after the main games in Gen 7 have been released, much like the remakes of Ruby and Sapphire are coming out after X and Y, and the remakes of Gold and Silver came out after Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.

As of right now, we don't know. We have HG/SS which brought us Kanto already, so we might not have a remake for a while. Maybe we will get them in 2016, I don't know. Well, hope this helps!(ish)
