Is it possible to make Pokemon walk around with you?

In my game, Pokemon Black version 2, I have seen some of the caracters with their Pokemon out. Am I able to do that too?

Unfortunately, you can't walk with your own Pokemon in B2/W2.
However, if you go to the house in the northwest in Humilau City, you can meet an old lady who will ask you to walk her Mienfoo around her house, if that's worth something. If you walk around the house until Mienfoo is satisfied, then the lady will reward you with a pearl.

Not in B/W, but in soulsilver and heartgold, the first Pokemon in your party will walk with you. and in yellow, your Pikachu follows you.
