I say "go Zoroark" instead of "go [ Pokemon in my last slot]. why?

My Zoroark looks like the last Pokemon but when I send it out I say "go Zoroark" instead of "go [ Pokemon in my last slot]?
This is in Pokemon Y. I have another Zoroark and it works just fine. I say go [pokemon in the last slot]. what is going on? and will this affect pvp battles?

is there any chance you got confused with the slot pokemon...?
i know it's unlikely but it happens every once in a while

It is to help you know that the Pokemon is Zoroark. To your opponent it will look like "Go [name of your Pokemon in the last slot].

I got fooled myself thinking that my Blaziken knew Night Daze.

Still doesn't explain their other Zoroark.  Mine works the second way, too.
