Does the ability Synchronize take into account how the status was inflicted?

Question

For example, Breloom vs Umbreon:
- Breloom uses Stun Spore.
- Umbreon is paralysed, and its Synchronize activates.
- Is Breloom then paralysed?

As a Grass type, Breloom is immune to Stun Spore (as of X and Y), so would the Stun Spore-induced paralysis still affect it?
