Hail Team Glaceon

Glaceon @ Choice Specs / Leftovers
Ability: Snow Cloak / Ice Body
EVs: 58 HP / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
- Blizzard
- Hail
- Substitute / Protect
- Shadow Ball / Wish

  • Blizzard (100% accuracy in Hail, STAB, just really powerful)*

  • Hail (JUST in case someone cancels out your wonderful Hail)

  • Substitute/Protect (If you get the chance to set up Only with Leftovers and Ice Body, where you will heal enough HP to actually Sub up, otherwise get Barrier, again, if you get the chance to set up)

  • Shadow Ball/Wish/ (You should get Wish, if with Protect, and if not, get Shadow Ball just for some extra coverage)

The idea behind this Glaceon is one of two choices basically.

Either Spam Blizzard until death with Choice Specs (make sure you use PP Max on Blizzard if this is your option)

~ or ~

Just have a normal type of Glaceon with whatever strategies you have in store for it.
Glaceon may not be useful in these situations, but you can also take advantage of its great Sp. Attack. ~

I know this is a little old but here it is:

Glaceon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Protect
- Toxic

This is a role played for stalling.
Hail is to help heal herself while making Blizzard hit no matter what, as Blizzard is her STAB move. Toxic as her stall move and protect so it can help her regain health while blocking a move and slightly injuring an enemy during Hail.

Glaceon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Snow Cloak / Ice Body
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Shadow Ball
- Freeze-Dry

Like all eeveelutions, this thing sucks. Ice Beam + Hidden Power Electric for the BoltBeam coverage I guess. Shadow Ball is coverage. Freeze-Dry for water types.

*waves sylveon in snom's face*
dare you shun vaporeon
Indeed. Sylveon is OP And Vaporeon and Umbreon too
vaporeon is completely outclassed by suicune, swampert and has poor defense
sylveon is far worse than clefable and again, low physical defense.

also did i mention the fact that all eevees have terrible movepools and the fact that none of them are in OU

For a Hail team staller:

Glaceon @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 6 HP / 188 Def / 126 SpA / 188 SpD
Bold Nature
- Blizzard
- Shadow Ball
- Double Team
- Toxic

  • Blizzard (100% accuracy in hail)
  • Shadow Ball (Coverage)
  • Double Team (Makes you even more elusive)
  • Toxic (Ultimate stalling move)

With the high defenses of this Glaceon, you should be able to pull this off in a hailstorm (Obviously this isn't the lead of your hail team with this moveset). If you find yourself needing to fight back more conventionally, Blizzard and Shadow Ball cover all types besides most Steel-types, and are very powerful with Glaceon with it's immense special attack. The strategy is basically to become pretty much un-hittable with Snow Cloak and Double Team, and then your opponent won't be able to retaliate from Toxic. If you don't think you need Shadow Ball you can replace it with Protect, but I don't like to have less than two damaging attacks.

why have blizzard and snow cloak when you dont know hail
PokeGamerZman they specified that this Glaceon set goes on a hail team. It doesn't set its own hail, it's paired with teammates with Hail or the ability Snow Warning. Same on the other answer you commented on.

Glaceon is my 1st favourite Ice-type Pokemon and another favourite Eeveelution, This Pokemon has good Sp.Atk tied with the well-known, cat-like eeveelution, Espeon. It is also great for its Sp.Def too! But for this set there is no Baton Passing....

Glaceon @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body / Snow Cloak
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Water Pulse
- Hail

Ice Beam is for STAB and 10% chance of freezing the target. With Hidden Power [Ground], you can take out all your weaknesses except Fighting, which you will have to defeat with luck. Water Pulse is for coverage but also confuses the target sometimes. Hail is good to cause damage on everyone, and yes, sadly, your team, unless they are all Ice-types. Hail will activate it's ability, so if you have a snow cloak Glaceon then you can raise your evaison a little so you are slightly harder to hit. If you have Ice Body you will gain HP, which is especially good with Leftovers.

Hime (Glaceon) (F) @ BrightPowder
Ability: Ice Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roar
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Water Pulse
Believe it or not, this set has worked wonders for me. With the Bright Powder, it gives a bit of leeway against some attacks, especially heavy-hitters with low accuracy. Hail + Ice Body +Blizzard makes for a great combo, and the coverage of Water Pulse helps a bunch. The only reason I have Roar is because of my team's overall strategy, but it can also help disrupt any setups your opponent might be planning. Otherwise, just use Wish/Heal Bell/whatever you like instead of Roar. Also, if you do put in Wish, consider Snow Cloak for your ability instead.

Role: Ice Healer

Glaceon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Shiny: Yes
Modest Nature
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Water Pulse
- Hidden Power [Ground]

  • Hail - Helps with Lefties, Ice Body and Blizzard's Accuracy.
  • Blizzard - STAB + Power + 100% Accuracy in Hailstorm.
  • Water Pulse - Coverage against Fire and Rock Types.
  • Hidden Power [Ground] - Coverage against Electric, Steel, Fire and Rock Types.

Glaceon @Leftovers
Ability: Snow Cloak / Ice Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry
- Fake Tears / Magic Coat

Usually Hail is pretty much useless, but it works really well with Glaceon. Both of its abilities require a snowstorm, and while that seems annoying, you could twist that to your advantage. Leftovers+ Ice Body Glaceon is amazing, and your opponent missing could be crucial. Blizzard also has 100% accuracy during Hail, and Freeze-Dry is super-effective against Water types. Glaceon lacks the varied movepool Vaporeon has, and therefore, overlooked, but it has good defenses and special attack. The last move is up to your choice, but I put Fake Tears in there. Magic Coat is also an option.

Eevee @ Eevium Z
Ability: Anticipation
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
Impish Nature
- Last Resort
- Double Team
- Substitute
- Baton Pass

This set should only be used in AG, because baton pass is banned from Ubers (I think). Substitute first, then Evoboost, Baton Pass in the face of a taunter, or use Double Team and then Baton Pass. The ability Anticipation is to see if the enemy packs Fighting type moves.

Glaceon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Freeze-Dry
- Blizzard
- Hyper Voice

Choice Scarf and 252+ Speed EVs is to help out Glaceon's not so good base speed of 65. Blizzard is STAB and when in Hail, it doesn't miss. Freeze Dry is for water types. Shadow Ball and Hyper Voice is for coverage.

Glaceon @ Icium-Z
Glaceon
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
• Hail
• Blizzard
• Shadow Ball
• Hidden Power [Ground] / Aurora Veil

Use Z-Hail for a Speed Boost, an Evasion boost, and a perfectly accurate Blizzard. Shadow Ball is coverage. Hidden Power [Ground] covers 3 weaknesses while Aurora Veil is very helpful for you and your team.

Glaceon @ Bright Powder
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 Def / 126 SpA / 126 SpD / 6 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Double Team
- Shadow Ball

Before you ask, no this can't be used in your Showdown team or other official competitive tourney, Double Team is banned and this build tells you why. Ask anyone why Glaceon is a good mon and they'll take 20 seconds before muttering "It has STAB Ice Beam" which is fair, for a mon with one of the best defense stats in it's diverse family, Glaceon sure likes to get KO'd to chip damage from time to time. So what's the solution? Don't get hit, silly! Start off with a Double Team so your held item won't leave you on your knees praying that Bright Powder is enough, because let me tell you it is not.

Next up is the main course, hail. A lot of it. You probably survived this far if you were cautious, since Glaceon is used to tanking a hit or two, but try not to get poisoned or something. Careful now as it's not going to be boosted by a rock, but 5 turns is all you need. Once you get the hail off you're in the clear unless you're unlucky or they came prepared, but I'll get to that worst case scenario later. Once you're safe in your winter wonderland of stormtrooper aim, you can start stacking Double Teams. If I see you go for the full 6 I will be mildly disappointed because you honestly only need 4, maybe 5 if you're feeling anxious, the bright powder will cover you when you don't get the full 6. Your Blizzard prob ran out now, or maybe even last turn, but this is really the only time when you're in real danger.

Once you notice that schools have re-opened due to the lack of hail and snow on the ground, change that ASAP. Chip weather damage is likely crushing the soul of the opposing trainer, but your soul is stone cold already so you really couldn't care less. After that you can start spamming Blizzard, and due to your STAB + 100 Accuracy in Hail, needless to say your opponent is really feeling that chip damage right now. If they throw out something that Blizzard can't help with, Shadow Ball is good coverage for that. End of story. Also, if you're gonna raise your hand and say "What if my opponent brings Magical Leaf or Swift? That will bypass the eva-" Shush. I didn't call on you. I did some research myself and there's a fair few attacking moves that don't miss, but none of them are really an issue unless it's Aura Sphere, which to make matters worse is used for great coverage. If it comes to that then you'll likely survive a hit, and I expect you to switch out. I don't care if they will predict it, you're not leaving that thing in against Aura Sphere! Shove in a ghost type or something. If it's any other move that can't miss just look at how threatening it is, and if it's a problem then switch, you're not beating that. If it isn't though, just stop Double Teaming for a sec and Blizzard that thing, Glaceon's offensively capability in this case remains static the whole time, you are still dangerous. If the opponent is running a no-miss move on all their mons, then you can likely just sweep with someone else if they're going to waste that many move spaces for it. If it's just that one mon with Aerial Ace, Blizzard it and move on.

For those of you wondering "Who's this clown and why's he using a Glaceon?" then fair enough, but I can say I've constructed and used this build in both AG environments in showdown, and in the gen 6 core games. I have a friend who tests these strats out with me, and to give you an idea on how this one went with him, next time we met I was slapped. Hard. This works, but you only want to use it where it's, you know, not banned. Your local unsuspecting tournament hosted by people you know, or against Cynthia because you're just done with her shenanigans at this point. It's a good fun build for horrible people, and I do not regret having one of these in my pc. I love making strats for the Eeveelutions, so expect something less nausea-inducing but still mildly humerus on Glaceon's many family members.

Gen 9 Monotype Calm Mind (Ice)

Glaceon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Ice Body
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 76 SpD / 36 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Wish
- Freeze-Dry

With Ice teams not having much options in Gen 9 Monotype, Glaceon is a good pick for a setup sweeper that is useful for the Ground, Water, and Poison matchups. Snow and Aurora Veil being up helps Glaceon to setup more easily. Having Substitute is useful against passive Pokemon such as Quagsire, Clodsire, and Toxapex, as it can allow Glaceon to avoid being poisoned by Toxic. Calm Mind lets Glaceon boost its Special Attack and Special Defense, turning it into a potent sweeper. Wish lets Glaceon get some HP back and can be useful for its teammates should Glaceon not be in a position to get off a sweep. Freeze-Dry is used for the Ice STAB due to its Ability to hit Water-types super effectively. Heavy-Duty Boots is used as the item to avoid getting chipped by Stealth Rock. Ice Body is used for the Ability since Snow Cloak can't be used in Gen 9 Monotype. Ice Body is also nice for restoring some HP while Snow is up.

252 HP EVs with 144 Defense EVs a Bold Nature lets Glaceon's Substitute unable to get immediately broken by Clodsire's Earthquake, allowing Glaceon to use it as setup fodder. 36 Speed EVs lets Glaceon outspeed Pokemon such as Corviknight and Dondozo as well as Pokemon who are EVed to outspeed Corviknight and Dondozo. The rest of the EVs are used in Special Defense to give Glaceon some special bulk.

Gen 9 NU Choice Specs

Glaceon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Ice Body
Tera Type: Ground / Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Freeze-Dry
- Tera Blast
- Shadow Ball

Glaceon at the time of this post is a decent Pokemon in NU due to Pokemon having to rely on Tera Steel to become a Steel-type, making it rather hard to switch into Choice Specs Glaceon due to its high Special Attack. Ice Beam is used for Glaceon's consistent powerful Ice STAB. Freeze-Dry lets Glaceon have an Ice STAB that targets Water-types such as Clawitzer, Qwilfish, Vaporeon, and Bruxish. Tera Blast with Tera Ground lets Glaceon hit most Pokemon who use Tera Steel such as Appletun super effectively, as well as hitting Pokemon who use Tera Fire. Tera Blast with Tera Fire can be used instead to also hit Pokemon who use Tera Steel in addition to being able to hit Tera Steel Eelektross super effectively. Shadow Ball is honestly used for a filler move since Glaceon doesn't have much coverage options.
