We can break this apart into two different scenarios:
- The Fighting type is a physical attacker
In this case, the obvious answer would be no, as Aura Sphere is a Special move.
- The Fighting type is a special attacker
First of all, this is rare, as the only examples I've found are Iron Valiant, base form Lucario, Kommonium Z Kommo-O, and Keldeo. However, even if we assume there are more special Fighting types, Keldeo's signature move Secret Sword has 5 more base power and hits for physical defense with the only caveat of not having infinite accuracy, something that would rarely have an actual effect. The reason why hitting for physical defense is better than hitting for special defense is because most special attackers want a way to get rid of special walls, such as Blissey. Therefore, having a STAB move that hits for physical defense will be a much better move for special attacking Fighting types.
TLDR: Aura Sphere is only the perfect move if the Fighting type is a special attacker (rare) and we're not considering signature moves
It is worth noting that Aura Sphere is used by many non-Fighting types for its great coverage and perfect accuracy. As coverage, it is preferred over Focus Blast due to being much more reliable, and if you were trying to cover for Steel or Dark types, missing out on the extra power from Focus Blast isn't really an issue when you're hitting super effectively. Examples of non-Fighting types using Aura Sphere commonly are the Lati twins and Clawitzer; examples of non-Fighting types that would really want the move but are stuck with Focus Blast are Alakazam and Tapu Lele.
