How do you register friend codes in Pokemon X and Y without interacting with the person first?

I know that this question has been asked before, but whenever I register a friend code without already interacting with the person I want to become friends with, he/she isn't in my friends list in the PSS! What should I do?

This is because they don't have your Friend Code. For a person to show up in your Friends list on the PSS, you must have their Friend Code registered, and you must have theirs.

This is to prevent people who posted their code online from having a bunch of people they don't know in their Friends list.

So basically, give the person your Friend Code, and if they register it, you will both show up on each other's Friends lists.
