Pokemon xy what is a good nature for conkeldurr?

I was thinking about careful to increase special defense and decrease special attack or jolly to increase speed and decrease special attack or should go with adamant to increase attack and decrease special attack any other suggestions would be very helpful

Seeing as Conkeldurr is a very slow Pokemon increasing it's speed would be redundant when compared to your other options.
Special Defense is an option, but probably not a good one. If you EV train then doing a little bit of EV training in Special Defense is a good idea.

I would say the best nature you can get is Adamant, as it increases Conkeldurr's most prominant stat giving it a nice buff to gain some extra damage.

Adamant is the way to go.

If you want to EV train it then I would recommend using this EV spread: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 76 SDef

You can also try making Conkeldurr hold the Assault Vest to increase it's Special Defense and you can gain back health by using Drain Punch. :3
