Are critical hits more common in Gen 6, if so what's its frequency?

It seems they are more common than last generation, but a little reduced? So give me the frequency of critical hits pleez

Yes, they are actually; but only from Stage 3 and onward. The chances are actually 100% from stage 4 and onward, but as if to compensate, crits got a big nerf.

>However, from Pokémon X & Y, the strength of Critical Hits has been drastically reduced. Instead of doubling the damage, the Critical hits will now do 33% more damage from the standard damage. If you have the ability Sniper, this increases to make the move do 225% of its standard damage.

Damage is multiplied by 1.5, rather than 2. Additionally the critical hit stages have modified. The new stages are as follows:
Stage Chance of critical hit
1 . 6.25%
2. 12.5%
3 . 50%
4. 100%
