If you have a good competitive moveset for Sylveon, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Sylveon Pokédex and learnset for reference.

So, can I write movesets for Eevee here?
Seeing as Eevee is a pre-evolution of Sylveon, I'd say yes.
But It's said so in moveset questions of every Eeveelutions!
Ok, so? Eevee is a pre-evolution of every Eeveelution...
Yeah! But it's a little bit strange...

Sylveon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 HP / 4Def
Modest Nature

  • Hyper Voice
  • Psychock
  • Mystical Fire
  • Shadow Ball / Magical Leaf

Hyper Voice is boosted by Pixilate and is STAB since Pixilate turns Normal type moves into Fairy type moves. Psyshock covers Poison types and also hits them on their physical defense, which is good against things like Nihilego. Mystical Fire slams Steels, Magical Leaf is for Swampert mainly but Shadow Ball is usually better.

I got defeated by this set multiple times in 1v1
Classic 1v1 Sylveon
Sylveon @ Custap Berry
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Beam
- Fake Tears
- Endure
- Mystical Fire

Set up Fake Tears until your health is low. Your oppoment normally knocks you out but you go for Endure so you live with 1 HP. Custap Berry activates and you go first, launching a super powerful move- Hyper Beam.
Pros
Hyper Beam is STAB, and lowering SpD almost always guarantees a KO. Mystical Fire counters Steel types which resist Fairy.
Cons
Hyper Beam has 90 accuracy, which can possibly mess up this strategy. Using Fake Tears when your HP is below ¼ but you forgot about that and the Custap Berry activates is another possible risk.

I've hoped I've helped!

Valerie (Sylveon) (M) @ Leftovers/Kee Berry
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind (Buffing)
- Moonblast (Stab)
- Stored Power (Anti-Poison and huge damage)
- Wish (Healing)

I usually get to 3 Calm Minds, after that you can pretty much nuke everything. Only real threats are physical Pokemon, which is why a Kee Berry would be a good alternative to Leftovers.

Kee Berry would raise Defense to 377

Wouldn't Pixilate be a better ability and Hyper Voice instead of Moonblast?

Gen 9 OU Doubles
Sylveon @throat spray
Ability Pixelate
Nature Modest
EVS (252 SpA) (252 Speed) (4 Hp)
tera fairy
Moves
- Hyper Voice for activating throat spray, that spread, and Pixelate
- Psyshock for poison types
- Mystical fire for steel types
- Wish for healing
Where to begin:
You send in sylveon as a lead Pokemon then tera fairy hyper voice, throat spray activates and boosts SpA making the next one more powerful, since it hits both opponets, you will sweep .

Sylveon @ Throat Spray
Ability: Pixilate
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Psychic
- Tera Blast
- Calm Mind

Throat spray is preferred by me as hyper voice is a sound-based move so after use it will boost sp. attack

Psychic is for poison coverage and Tera blast is to take out steel types after fire tera

Calm Mind is to set up for a potential sweep

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Baton Pass
- Copycat
- Psych Up
- Detect / Protect

Description: This is a small experiment I did with a moveset. I personally like Sylveon a lot and it is an overall amazing pokémon to use in competitive. This moveset involves some really strange moves such as Copycat & Psych Up. You can use this moveset however you see fit, such as starting with a Detect/Protect to see what the opposing player is using. Psych Up takes any stat changes the opposing trainer made, and copycat is a nice addition for copying any moves they use. And Baton Pass for passing any stat changes to a different Pokemon. This moveset is not exactly the best but I was very interested in experimenting with some strange sets.

Jesus Arceus...

This moveset is... not good at all. You can't always rely on other mons to set up for you. They can easily use something like Toxic or send in a Steel or Poison Type against you. What's stopping them from attacking before you get the chance to Copycat or Baton Pass. If this is meant for something like Showdown, Baton Pass can only be used in AG formats, and Sylveon is terrible in AG.

Sorry if I'm being a bit harsh, but this is just not a good moveset. I advise that you study competitive play before continuing to post movesets. Have a great day.
