Gengar is a pretty ballin counter, Haunter is on Rt 14, and the Mega Stone is easy to find.

Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, yeah. OHKOs quick.

MegaZardX (Or Y)'s Flare Blitz wrecks too. Basically any Mega can deal with it, as long as you train. I was in high 70s facing E4.

Hit it with a physical attack that it is weak to, such as Shadow Claw (which you can get via TM). Even after it Mega Evolves, Gardevoir has very low Defence, and will have trouble taking those moves.

I OHKO'd it with Mega Lucario and Shadow Claw, so it isn't unbeatable.

Despite it's dual type, it should still be weak against poison and steel type attacks.

I would reccomend using Yveltal or Xerneas. If you don't use legends, then use something like a haunter. If you get it through a trade, that's better because it evolves into gengar, and gengars mega stone is found in laverre city, given by a hex maniac close to a team flare guy. If you can't get a Gengar, Haunter are found in Victory Road, Route 14, Route 19, and though rare, Frost Cavern. Make sure it knows a good ghost type move, like shadow claw or shadow punch.
