How do you unequip the roller skates in X and Y?

I'm getting kinda sick of them.

^ I think they automatically equip themselves when you first get them. You may have accidentally figured out how to take them off and can't remember how to put them back on. XD

I don't know...
Apparently you can't ever unequip them and have to be a nub and use the D-Pad if you want to walk or something. At least that's what everyone says when they're complaining about it :P

Oh, I get it now. You have to use the D-Pad if you want to walk and the joystick if you want to skate. Thanks!
