Can Pokedit cause problems to the game? And can they be used competitively?

I am thinking of trying Pokedit, but I don't know if it can cause problems or glitches to the game. And can you play with them competitively? Any help will be appreciated.

For both questions, I don't think so.

There are no real complaints about Poke Edit messing up anyone's game, unlike an Action Replay (it screwed my Pearl D:), so I'd say nothing to worry about there. And if you mean by competitively as in going to VGC, NO. You will be disqualified and maybe even banned from the championship.

You CAN use Pokedit Pokemon in competitions. Look at the finals in Worlds. Everyone has shiny Pokemon. They can't have got them legal.
