Can regular Pokemon actually die in the games?

No, they just faint. It's a kid's game, why put dying as a factor?

The Pokemon will not die, they just faint. But there are hints of Pokemon dying of natural causes, just like people, such as Celestial Tower, but that can't actually happen in the games. In the anime, Pokemon can get sick or hurt, so I assume they can die just like people.

They don't die unless you do the Nuzlocke challenge which is only releasing/permanently boxing your fainted Pokemon, so you have to use your imagination there. (Search up Nuzlocke challenge on Google if you want to know what it is)
