I'd say Krookodile because Moxie or Intimidate comes in handy and you don't see sand outside of the Desert Resort rendering Excadrill's abilities useless unless you want to put Sandstorm on it :P

Krookodile
Ability: Moxie / Intimidate
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Superpower / any move of your liking

thanx :)
Mhm :)
Yeah, Krookodile is the way to go. I wiped out Elisa with Sandile and Shauntal and Caitlin with Krookodile.
I would go for this slightly different moveset:
Krookodile
Ability:Moxie

-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw
-Foul Play/Crunch

Excadrill's physical attack stat is better than Krookodile's, and its movepool is significantly better. Excadrill learns dig and earthquake 13 and 18 levels earlier than Krookodile, respectively. Krookodile is also completely unable to learn swords dance.

Excadrill is ranked higher than Krookodile on Smogon and was used by the current world record holder in B2W2 speedrunning, so I think Excadrill's better moves matter more than Krookodile's better ability.

This is the moveset used in the speedrun. You can feed it 10 carbos if you want more speed.
Excadrill @ lucky egg
- earthquake
- iron head
- swords dance
- rock slide

smogon is garbage and krookodile is leagues better cuz you dont need to waste turns for setup nor has a useless type like steel.
Excadrill doesn't need to waste turns using bite in the early game and doesn't have useless weaknesses like grass and ice. If you think Smogon isn't credible, what do you think of speedrun.com? Do you have a good reason to disagree with the speedrunners?
If smogon is horrible, what would you use for viability?

I would say Krookodile.
He has really good stab moves and he also does better on the Elite 4, champions w/ dragon types (outrage) and all that.
