What advantages is there in playing SS while having Ruby\Sapphire and LG\FR?

Is there any advantage of playing with SS in the DS slot and Ruby\Sapphire or LG\FR in the GBA slot of an original DS?

I know in Diamond/Pearl there are certain Pokemon you can catch only if a certain GBA cartridge is in the DS. I'm not sure about HG/SS though.

No, it works in HG/SS.

Pal Park, Fuchsia City. You could "migrate" PKMN found only in R/S/E/LG/FR up to HG/SS.
