Uber Accelgor!

So just now I was using Accelgor in Ubers, yes you read that right, Ubers. I have found that he is amazing in Ubers, thanks to the fact that his typing and stellar speed allow him to outspeed and cut down common threats such as Darkrai, Mewtwo, and Extremekiller Arceus with STAB Bug Buzz and Focus Blsat respectively. He is also capable mowing through the many Uber dragons with relative ease thanks to Hidden Power Ice.

I can not stress how well he really does work in Ubers. His outstanding speed allows him to outspeed most unboosted opponents, and Choice Specs gives him some firepower, boosting his SAtk up to 492. Choice Specs, plus his great speed allow him to bring punishment as a revenge killer and as a late-game sweeper. As I said previously, his main role is to check things like Darkrai and Mewtwo that could otherwise pose a threat.

P.S. This set greatly appreciates entry hazard damage, but it is not neccessary.
P.S.S. This set is not limited to Ubers, it works in well in other tiers too.

What the point in recovering 20HP when the opponent is going to inflict like >65 per hit?
Yes @mantisprime it should learn energy ball instead of giga drain
With the amount of Defensive Behemoths in Ubers, Accelegor would fave some serious competition from other breakers as a fast and hard-hitting Pokémon.

Modest Nature

- Energy Ball

Bug Buzz is STAB and is a sound move, meaning that once it is used, Throat Spray gets consumed, raising it's Special Attack one stage, activating Unburden, doubling its already high speed. Energy Ball deals with Rock Types. Focus Blast is coverage, but its accuracy is shaky though. Sludge Bomb is also coverage. You can pair with with Indeedee if you want to use this set in Gen 8 NU, preventing Accelgor from getting revenge killed by most Pokémon when Psychic Terrain is active.

Quite honestly I think this guy should be able to learn Taunt, seriously this guy would work SO well with Taunt but NO Game freak decided to not give it Taunt. Anyway this is a good lead for low tier Rain teams. Rain-dance is too start the rain, the Damp-rock makes this last 8 turns. Guard-split can make this guy fairly bulky, it can be used to ruin walls and tanks. Bug-buzz is STAB. Spikes helps to set up to help the team further as a lead while Rest heals so one can used those boosts to your defenses.

If using Guard Split I suggest Recover.
I think that set is pretty good. The only thing I would change would be Guard Swap, and replace it with Giga Drain. Giga Drain can help heal it, especially if damaged by Stealth Rocks.

Incredible. Accelgor is the one and only REAL wall breaker.

Nature: Rash

IVs: 0 in both Defenses

Guard Split- Accelgor is the only Pokemon other than Alakazam that uses Guard Split well(all the other Pokemon are things like Shuckle and Carbink.). Let's say a Dusclops comes in and want's to wall you. Use Guard Split and get it out of the way.

Bug Buzz- STAB(and activate Unburden if you are holding the Bug Gem).

Focus Blast- Really nice coverage.

Sludge Bomb/Energy Ball/HP Ice/HP Water- Coverage. I would choose Sludge Bomb if you didn't get the right HP.

Timid Nature

- Infestation / Yawn

The suicide lead set Accelgor uses in Gen 8 ZU. Spikes is used to set an entry hazard on the opponent's side. Encore prevents opposing Pokemon from using Accelgor as setup fodder. Infestation allows you to trap passive Pokemon, while Yawn can discourage from opposing leads from staying in. Once you get up 3 layers of Spikes, Final Gambit is used to prevent opposing Pokemon from using Rapid Spin/Defog to get rid of the Spikes while sacrificing Accelgor in doing so. Focus Sash + Unburden is used to guarantee that Accelgor gets up at least 1 layer of Spikes due to its high speed.

Unfortunately, Focus Sash does **not** protect against your own Final Gambit.

From the Bulbapedia article on Final Gambit:

"""
The move's side effect is not considered as inflicting damage to the user, and so if the user is holding a Focus Band, Focus Sash, or has Sturdy, it will not activate and the user will still faint.
"""
...Focus Sash wasn't for Final Gambit. Focus Sash is there to let you get up at least 1 layer of Spikes.
Ok. Since Final Gambit only does damage equal to the user's remaining HP, then does that mean you intend Final Gambit and Spikes to be strict alternatives? And if so, what is the intended use case for Final Gambit given that the rest of the build appears to be for setting up / support?
Well, even if Accelgor has low HP, Final Gambit is still useful when you have Spikes up, as using Final Gambit can prevent a Pokemon from using Rapid Spin/Defog to get rid of the Spikes on the turn Accelgor uses Final Gambit, as well as providing a way to bring in a Pokemon safely. This is also a suicide lead set, I'll edit that in.

Explanation:
Guard Swap cripples walls, and also make you bulky, lol. You always strike first so Accelerator holds Petaya Berry so that if Accelerator is pushed to pinch, Giga Drain will hit painfully as possible and heal more HP. Modest Nature gives a lot of Sp.Atk. Water Shuriken can deal with Fire-Types as well as Priority, though it's unreliable (since 15 Base Power every hit isn't as reliable, and it will not always hit for the maximum of 75 base power.

Accelgor @Shed Shell | Ability: Sticky Hold | Nature: Jolly Nature | EVs: 252 Spe, 252 HP, 4 Atk

Explanation:
Set-up. Spikes and Toxic Spikes is mandatory. Guard Swap so you can set-up longer against walls. U-Turn for escape route paired with Shed Shell to ensure you escape. Sticky Hold prevents trick and co.

He is a nice, fast pokemon with poor defenses.

Item: Focus Sash (you might not even survive one hit anyway)
Trait: Sticky Hold (so no one can steal your focus sash)
Nature: Bold
EVs: Special Attack, Speed

Bug Buzz - Obvious STAB.
Giga Drain - Heals you after you've taken lots of damage.
Acid Armor - He has terribly low defense, so AA increases his defense from poor to decent in about 2-3 turns of using this.
Substitute - Stalling while using AA.

This is for it's first evolution, Shelmet.

Shelmet @ Eviolite

Role: Special Wall

Nature: Calm (+Sp. Defense, -Attack)
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 Defense, 252 Sp. Defense, 6 HP

Moves:

Acid Armor: It increases it's Defense by two stages, which if used three times, can maximize Shelmets Defense stat.
Struggle Bug: If the opponent has a Special Attacker, then you can use this move to lower there Sp. Attack.
Rain Dance: When this move is in play, Shelmets status condition will be removed. This move needs to be used when Shelmets HP is in the Yellow.
Rest: This move restores all of Shelmets HP, but puts it to sleep. When it's Raining, Shelmets Ability will cure it's status condition.

Some other moves to consider:
Protect, Double Team, Encore, Endure, Substitute

Protect will block an attack, which can be kinda useful. Double Team can make moves harder to hit, and most of infinite accuracy moves are "not very effective" on Shelmet. Encore can deal with Special Attackers when they use a status move. Endure can be used to make sure that Shelmet survives, but it's not very useful... Substitute will block all attacks and all status moves, although if too many attacks are used, the substitute will fade.

If you can think of a better move than Struggle Bug, please tell me.

Shelmet itself is outclassed as a hydration rester by goodra. Unlike goodra, shelmet is weak and cannot do anything of worth to a battle. A much better eviolite bug is scyther.
That's a fair point. This moveset isn't very good unless it's in a double battle with a powerful sweeper. But if you mostly want to annoy your opponent, this Moveset would be decent.
I just used it in the battle subway, and I made it all the way to the final boss person. All my Pokemon died, and didn't do anything to the opponents, other than Shelmet. It knocked out 2 of their Pokemon, with this exact Moveset lol.
It's definetely possible, but won't quige luck based. Funny strat tho.

accelgor always goes on the lead to use rain dance and combo with other Pokemon with rain based abilities, this always allows accelgor to gain immunity to status moves as hydration cures them at the end of the turn and no one ever remembers this ability so you'll caught them off guard so always start with that move unless you are facing a dark, psychic or grass Pokemon (with no resistance to bug type moves). bug buzz is able to KO most of them except probably tanks, also if facing a Pokemon with weakness times 4 to ice use hidden power of ice before anything, important to try to kill the Pokemon right away to gain advantage because no one expects ice moves from accelgor. if your opponent uses status move, use encore right away to give you a free switch out, (pokemon with swift swim recommended) this strategy is just big brain, and combos well in monotype bug, armaldo is boosted by the rain and rain decreases fire attacks which decently protects the team from its fire weakness and further incrases survavility for 8 turns
