How can I breed for Volt Tackle more easily?

I know how to get it but this is the 13th Pichu egg I hatched. Any tips?

No, they do not need to be level 100 to get Volt Tackle. Here is how to get Volt Tackle:

1. Have a Pikachu/Raichu (female) in Daycare holding the Light Ball. Just have any other partner in the same group as your Pikachu/Raichu for the second Pokemon.

2. Wait until they lay an egg (that must have been tough on Pikachu) and then hatch the egg. The Pichu will have Volt Tackle.

@ salt: since you tagged it for soul silver. there are only 2 ways to get a light ball in soul silver. one is to find it on a wild pikachu (5% chance) Or use thief/covet on red's pikachu, who holds a light ball.
