thunder wave AND static?
isnt that a wastage of an attack slot?
still, nice set, though..
Remember that Special moves don't often make contact, and for them Mareep can resort to Thunder Wave to ruin Special Sweepers. Otherwise, yeah.

Special sweeper

Mareep @ Eviolite
Ability: Static
Nature: Modest
EVs: 236 SpA / 236 Spe / 36 Def
- Agility
- Thunderbolt
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Hidden Power [Fighting] / Power Gem

Agility gives you the speed. Thunderbolt is strong STAB. The last two are coverage.

Mareep is amazing. You cannot change my mind on that. It's very cute, and I'm a little more inclined towards special attackers. So here's a moveset for one of my favourite electric types:

Mareep @ Eviolite
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 SpA / 128 HP / 64 Def / 64 SpD
Nature: Modest / Bold / Calm
- Thunderbolt
- Power Gem
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Water]

First off, Mareep is meant to be a bulky sweeper. An Eviolite is perfect for one in Little Cup. Next, you'll mostly be getting outsped, but if you can paralyze them with Static, suddenly you're the one with the speed advantage, with a mon that can both tank hits and dish out good damage. Modest, Calm, and Bold natures all lower attack, the stat we'll be using the least, and raise either special attack or a defense, which is great for a bulky special sweeper. The EV spread focuses the most on special attack, than on HP, and then equally on the defenses, which are Mareep's most important stats, in order. Now, as for the moves, Thunderbolt is Mareep's best STAB option. Thunder is stronger, but its low accuracy can cause serious problems. Power Gem offers coverage for four different types, three of which aren't covered by Thunderbolt. Signal Beam is a strong Bug move, offering a confusion chance and coverage for three more types, one of which resists Thunderbolt. Lastly, Hidden Power Water offers three more types covered, the most important being Ground, which is super-effective against and immune to Electric.
