Desolate Land (ability)
Effect
Desolate Land creates extremely harsh sunlight when the ability is activated (by Groudon reverting to its Primal form).
Extremely harsh sunlight has the same effects as harsh sunlight but with some additions:
- The weather stays active as long as the ability-bearer remains in battle, but stops when the Pokémon is switched out.
- Water type attacks
evaporate
and have no effect. - The extremely harsh sunlight cannot be replaced by a regular weather condition - in other words the moves Hail, Rain Dance, Sunny Day, and Sandstorm, and the abilites Drizzle, Drought, Sand Stream, and Snow Warning will fail.
The abilities Cloud Nine or Air Lock are still able to bypass the effects of Desolate Land, but Mold Breaker is not.
