Hey, Y! Now that you're back, there's something I wanted to tell you about, relating to your fanfic and the ships in it.
OK, I'm bringing this up because of Faller, where, in one scene, Pika kisses Gladion. I loved the scene because why wouldn't I? But it did seem sudden. And sure, it was surprising in a good way. Yeah, it looked like Pika and Gladion were interested in each other, but it seemed kinda rushed to me. So I've decided to give you a... a... a guide? I guess? Something like that. And it also is chock-full of small ideas that you could use if you'd like... or not. All of the "character interactions" are ideas, for example. But anyway, I'm going to try to help you with your ships and how to handle them for maximum cuteness or something. Let's go!
First off, we have shippy moments, like the one I described in my first idea. I think they're pretty important if you want an amusing to read ship. However, you don't want them every five seconds, and you don't want your ship to be completely devoid of them either. Put them in occasionally to spice things up.
Second, we have their behavior around each other. Let's use Pika and Gladion, for example. Pika has a crush on Gladion, which makes her a bit nervous around him. She prefers not to tell anyone about her crush on him, for fear of him finding out, although people would probably guess she has a crush on him anyway. She doesn't really flirt with him, and she doesn't go on and on about how cute he is and how handsome and brave and blah blah blah. If you want affectionate Pika, which would be adorable, you could have her give him a hug and nuzzle. It's very like her to do that. She'll complement him sometimes as well. If it's possible, I'd like her to say that he's really cute when she comes to after fainting. Gladion doesn't know she has a crush on him, or why she's nervous around him. If he asked her why, she wouldn't be able to tell him, as the reason is that she has a crush on him. He thinks she's one of his best friends, which is a feeling she returns. As such, he's friendly towards her and cares about her. If it's possible, I'd like him to not really feel anything for her but friendship at the beginning, but develop a crush on her as time goes on, but not showing it much, believing that she doesn't feel the same way.
Here's some tips. Putting one of the characters in danger or sometning and having another one help them can actually come in handy for shipping. Remember my main fanfic? In episode 1, Gladion got sick and wanted, for some reason, Pika to help him. And she did. That one moment where he fell asleep when she hugged him was meant to be a shippy moment. I mean, just look at it. And in episode 2, Toxa attacked Gladion and Pika saved him. Then he tried to protect her. So why not try out something like that in your fanfic? Probably not those two ideas, though. It could be anything. Drowning, falling off of a cliff, a wild Pokemon attack... basically anything that would put one character in danger while the other saves them. On that note, Pika can't swim. At all. Also, if you decide to use one of those, don't put many in. It'd get very redundant after a bit.
This is very important: don't rush a ship. Make it long and make it look like a character or both of them actually like each other, so it'd make perfect sense if, say, one kissed the other. Speaking of kissing, if you decide to make a character kiss the other, don't make it sudden, and don't put it close to the beginning either.
OK, that was long. But I hope you'll find it useful. After all, you got Pika x Gladion and I think Lexi x Wally and River x N, so maybe you could use this for shipping assistance. If you got any questions, ask away!
