Wall for trachy (page 44)

Tired of Dr. Frankenstein getting such a bad rap. Sure he made the monster, but afterwards he came to his senses and realized the horror of what he had done. The only other mistake he made was not killing it right away.

So apparently the Greeks don't like the Disney movie "Hercules". And that the main reason for this is that the movie strays far from the myth.
About as stupid a statement as saying Kiki's Delivery Service promotes black magic.

The myth begins with Zeus committing adultery and raping a mortal woman, as he was known to do. She then gives birth to Hercules. Hera is jealous as she always is, and so she intends to cause Hercules great misfortune. Hercules marries and has kids. Hera strikes Hercules with her powers and causes him to enter into a fit of madness, in which he ends up murdering his wife and children. He then proceeds to do the 12 labors ("Hercules" was about 90 minutes long by the way). He had some other adventures, filled with lots of murder along the way, but it ends with his new wife being kidnapped and then raped by a centaur, who he kills. Before he dies, the centaur tricks the wife into poisoning Hercules, killing him.

Stick a G rating on it and have it be something to see with your grandkids.

The only real complaint that could be aimed is the stereotypical portrayal of Hades as a villain, when he was in fact the most upstanding of the the brothers (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades). Of course, this was balanced out by the way the actor played Hades, which was far from stereotypical. Instead of deep-voiced, menacing bad guy, James Wood plays him as a car dealer, and does a wonderful job at it too.

"All hail His Grace, Tyrion of House Lannister, First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm."
Now that, is what I want.
Seriously Hugh, this weeks episode was bonkers, Peters stuff was just outstanding. By the seven I love that dwarf.
