About the editing thing, I wasn't trying to criticise him for editing it, I was trying to express my opinion on editing things right away (poor wording again, sorry for that). Anyway, I also used to think that editing everything would be the best (I'm a grammar nazi too lol), until I realised that if we as a community give the impression that everything posted would be perfected by the staff by editing right away, then people wouldn't feel the need to improve their posts. When a user compares their post to a better-written post, they certainly feel the need to improve theirs. Editing right away would ultimately lead to lesser people putting effort into their posts and more badly-written posts coming up. It looks like an attractive option in the short-term, but leads to decrease in site quality in the long run imo.

Typically I hide:

* Movesets/teams posted in the comments, which really only happen on MSQs.

* Necroposting that adds nothing. Seeing someone say "yes and squirtle is good bc it is blue" on a question from 2012 isn't something we really have a need to keep.

* Once a BA is selected, I usually hide all the BA-related comments, but that's more of a personal quirk than any absolute law.

There's probably more examples I can't think of, but I trust you to make your own decisions on worthwhile comments. If you're unsure, just wall me or another mod again :)
