After Eclipsus attempted to absorb the Heart of the World, something went horribly wrong, and a sick corruption began to spread across the universe, infecting many worlds, and even the Guardians of Light were not safe from it. Before he was killed, Tech, developed new names in case a Guardian was infected, to help deal with the potential grief. Here are the names:

Fire - Wicked Flames
Water - Dead Tide
Leaf - Choking Foliage
Lightning - Vengeful Storm
Ice - Brutal Cold
Rock - Ruthless Terra
Wind - Violent Gust
Jazz - Strangled Chords
Magic - Foul Incantation
Ghost - Malicious Phantom
Angel - Poisoned Light
Dragon - Corroded Scales

It would be a lot cooler if I posted the corruption story but you get the names instead

Yeah, I can see what you mean, it would make sense to suspect he will play a major role, but I don't think many if anyone at all would suspect he's a maniac.

Yeah, very predictable. So predictable that there's no hints until the final episodes.
But yeah, he cute when not a maniac.

Oh yeah, I thought up an interesting character for a could be anime.

His name is Fear. Fear appears early on in the series, most likely in a near death situation, but luckily, the protagonist (whom I haven't come up with a name for) was nearby and was able to save him. Protagonist ends up adopting Fear, because he's an orphan, and from them on, protag sees Fear as a little brother, and always does his best to protect him.

Fear is presented as a small, short, young boy with a head full of black hair. He wears white pants, a black t-shirt, and black shoes that frequently need to be tied. Fear also has a necklace with a small white crystal on it that he assumingly got from his mother. Fear is very shy, timid, and cowardly, afraid of pretty much everything, which causes him to receive the name SK (Scaredy Kat) although he doesn't seem to mind. Fear often follows protag around high school (because this is anime he can do that apparently), and often hides when protag battles countless villains throughout the series.

In the final season, protags chases to catch one of his enemies, but he ends up striking an oil barrel, triggering an explosion that sent him flying to the edge of a cliff. He calls for Fear to help him, but Fear starts laughing. Fear continues laughing for a bit before approaching the edge of the cliff, looking down at protag with a sinister look in his eyes. Fear took on a new form, a tall, shadowy like figure with black and purple wisps constantly flying around him. Fear laughs at protag, and some back and forth dialogue reveals that Fear's purpose isn't to show off the different types of fear; Fear's purpose is to BRING fear. Fear reveals that he knows death is many peoples' fear, and it's amplified for heros, since they carry the burden of protecting the entire city, and the city would fall without them. Fear says he feeds off death, and that he's been feeding off the protag for the whole series, by it's time to pick a new target to prey upon. Fear uses a dark energy blast to blast the edge of the cliff, leaving protag to fall to his supposed death.

Yeah, Fear is actually a psychopathic maniac. In his little boy form, he goes on to "accidentally" unplug the life support of one of the protag's friends' sister, before assuming his true form and killing the friend. Fear goes in to do massive damage to the city and kill many people. Near the very end of the series, the protag reveals he's still alive and challenges Fear, before realizing everything Fear has done. The protag asks why Fear did it, and Fear says that it was mostly for fun, and since he feeds off the fear of others, he needed to bring the fear.
That's about how far I got when developing this character, but yeah, he's secretly a psychopathic maniac murderer who unlike most villains in the series, has no real motive other than he enjoys doing it.

What do you think of Fear?
