There's no real "rule" on what to do in a situation like that -- just do what you personally can to make the thread better. I'd tell experts they can edit the original answer (since it prevents clutter), but it's not necessary at all.

I’m doing good. My wall doesn’t receive much activity because I usually don’t have much to talk about, and I’m bad at small talk, so conversations starting with “what’s up” usually don’t last long :p
