Meta-PokéBase Q&A

Wall for vydestiny (page 21)

I think it might still haven't made it clear...

So like what I said in your wall would be the explanation which can you please post as an answer instead of me since I can't post them? Ofc, you may mention something like "these teams and their explanation belongs to Aaaaaaaaa" at the top of the answer, hyperlinking my profile. This wouldn't take away my credit imo. Oh and also, I don't want to have an answer of mine which isn't selected as the Best Answer so ig that works out well. XD

ALSOOOO I defeated 'I lack Cranium' (or Will as you called him in your Battle Replays thread answer) today with the CM Groundceus + Ray-M team!
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7anythinggoes-1476296593-khv88fxzmsojbux0ys9i0lv7ch81pg8pw
I took the Ferrothorn instead of Pdon version of the team by mistake, oops! Gladly he didn't have an Ho-Oh cause that team has terrible matchup against it lmfao.
(I know I critted like with Bacon but again and could've PP stalled his Recovers with Judgement + Ice Beam! :triumph:)

Nooooo I said that cause I can't post answer from the device I'll use now for some reasons so I'll just post w/e I wanna say in my answer on your wall and you paste it giving me credit ofc. Today is prolly the last day I can access PS! so I couldn't get my teams after that.

Here's the teams btw:

1. CM Groundceus + Band M-Ray [Balance]
https://pokepast.es/d63780c91ce21319
A balance team which was built around CM Groundceus. Both it and M-ray wreck havoc while the rest 4 mons provide solid support. Defensive Yveltal takes care of many setup mons with the help of foul play. Taunt can be run over Toxic on Yveltal to break stall better, although Toxic is better against most teams. Use Waterceus/Necrozma to absorb Toxics thrown at Groundceus and try to bait a Will-O-Wisp onto Groundceus if possible (preferably by using Necrozma/Ray-M). Avoid Toxic on Groundceus at all costs unless you know it will sweep the opponent's remaining mons without getting stalled/phased. Double rocks are there to pressure Ho-Oh better, which always cuts Groundceus' sweep mid-way. Rock Slide is there on Primal-Groudon to hit Ho-Oh hard if it decides to stay in and defog. The EVs, albeit weird, allow Groundceus to OHKO a M-Ray at +1 SpA after Stealth Rocks; the rest are dumped into HP as the teams appreciates more bulk. As Yveltal is the only defogger which is itself weak to Stealth Rocks, make sure to keep it healthy to avoid losing your sole defogger; avoid Toxic on it if possible.

2. CM SteelCeus + Band M-Ray [Balance]
https://pokepast.es/67f98e259baeedd7
This team was built around CM SteelCeus & Ray-M, as both of them take care of each others' checks really well except Marshadow, which is why the team has 3 Marsh switchins (FairyCeus, Zygarde, Yveltal). SteelCeus is notable for not fearing Toxic unlike Groundceus but it gets walled by Ho-Oh even harder, so the team again has double rocks + Rock Slide Primal-Groudon. Groudon is the main Geomancy Xerneas check with Roar, so avoid it getting too weakened so it can check it properly. Waterfall is run on Ray-M to OHKO Primal-Groudon and eliminate it completely as defensive ones can check SteelCeus, while V-Create is there for the ever-annoying Ferrothorn. Any one of them can be replaced by Outrage if the user wishes to, however. Yveltal checks a lot of setup mons and Taunt can be run over Toxic on Yveltal to break stall better.

3. Spike Stack With LO Marsh [Balance]
https://pokepast.es/bf278b081b9042b6
You guessed it right -- Balance teams are my thing! This team uses the Rayquaza-M + Marshadow offensive duo which you'll see on many USUM AG Balance teams. Both appreciate Spikes support from Ferrothorn, and the chip damage provided by them turns many 3HKOs into 2HKOs for Marshadow. Utilise Mixed M-Ray's ability of not getting choice locked to the fullest and use Draco Meteor to surprise OHKO a Zygarde if the opponent team uses one and expects it to be a DD M-ray. Using PoisonCeus and Ferrothorn to absorb Toxic and avoid getting WaterCeus hit by Toxic as its the main backbone of the defensive core; simultaneously, try to bait a Will-O-Wisp onto it. Do not risk Ferrothorn with any fire moves from the likes of Primal-Groudon and Ho-Oh, use Protect or send in Zygarde/Waterceus. Do NOT replace Life Orb with Focus Sash on Marshadow on this team, as you'll not win a single match if you do so.

Alright, that's it! x)

ALSOOO can you please take USUM AG in the Team Bazaar thread next? Like I have a online test tomorrow so I can get my teams from PS here but I have no idea if I'll be able to use it after that. And I'm pretty sure Ubers and AG are WAY more popular than the tiers below UU, and that can be even observed when you decide to spectate a match - you'll almost never find a match going on for those formats lol.

I'll post them on your wall with the small explanation required so that you can showcase them in the thread (there are only 3 which are worth it imo so dw).
