Why DID the chicken cross the road?

I don't think I could love myself. I'm just... me. There's nothing all that special about me. "Loving myself" is to me, making me sound hyper obsessed with myself, and that doesn't fit my personality at all.

As for something I don't quite understand, first I must ask you. Why did the chicken cross the road?
To get to the other slide? This is supposed to be a joke, but I don't get what's funny about it. Is it just a twist in words, slide instead of side? Or is there a deeper meaning. What's so special about the slide across the street, and why's the chicken not satisfied with the slide he's on now? Heck, why's a chicken even on a slide to begin with?! Shouldn't he be laying eggs on a farm or something, instead of putting himself in danger of being squashed by a big butt 5 year old that didn't see him and slid down. Or maybe it's because to get out of the chicken coop, there's a slide, and he didn't like the farmers and other chickens, so the chicken went to the other slide, or chicken coop in this case. Point is, I just don't get what's funny, or what makes it funny. Heck I'd find "So he can FlOcKiNg DIE!" more funny than "To get to the other slide" but I have weird humor...

I guess when it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh people, you don't like when a character dies, even if there was a reason...
