Gen 8 BDSP NU

Toxicroak @ Choice Specs
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball
- Vacuum Wave

Special sets for Toxicroak have started to see use in BDSP NU to beat the checks that would check Swords Dance Toxicroak. Choice Specs is one of two special set variants. Choice Specs allows Toxicroak to become a fearsome wallbreaker that threatens most of the metagame.

Focus Blast is Toxicroak's strongest STAB move that hits pretty hard provided it lands. Sludge Bomb is used for your Poison STAB. Shadow Ball allows you to deal super effective damage to Pokemon such as Dusknoir, Chimecho, and Dusknoir. Vacuum Wave is Fighting STAB that is used for priority. Modest Nature maximizes the damage output Choice Specs Toxicroak can have.

Gen 9 NU Swords Dance

Toxicroak @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
Tera Type: Fighting / Dark / Flying / Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Gunk Shot
- Sucker Punch

This is the Swords Dance set Toxicroak uses in Gen 9 NU. Swords Dance is used to boost the power of Toxicroak's attacks. Toxicroak finally has access to Close Combat, so it can use a more powerful Fighting STAB. Gunk Shot is used for a powerful Poison STAB that is useful against Pokemon who use Fairy as their Tera Type. Sucker Punch provides Toxicroak with a move than can revenge kill faster Pokemon. Toxicroak has a few useful Tera Types it can use. Tera Fighting allows Toxicroak to have a really powerful Close Combat. Tera Dark not only boosts the power of Sucker Punch, but it also makes Toxicroak immune to both of Bruxish's STABs since it already has a water immunity with Dry Skin. Flying allows Toxicroak to get rid of its ground weakness. Tera Fire is a funny option that allows you to not get burned, allowing you to use Swords Dance in front of Will-O-Wisp Drifblim.
