Why did I not win the maid challenge?

Question

ok so i went to do the 5 maid knockout chalenge in platinum and i killed them all in 5 hits and the number ofhits needed was 8 and it told me i lost but i did it with 2 hits to spare!what happend? are the maids sore losers or what?

So you need to defeat them in the exact amount of turns. (8)

well i say that you should just beat 4 maid in 1 blow and then do 3 moves of rasing your attack or def or speed or accuracy or evainesses then finally attack and she dies.

but the thing is is that it's a maid clefairy thing to use endure so i got lucky that they didnt use it

I was at the last maid with 2 turns to go, so I switched to waste the first and on the second she used Endure! How am I supposed to win?
