Will the Burned Tower ever be rebuilt?

I talked to some people in Ecruteak City, and they said that the Burned Tower was going to be rebuilt. Will it ever happen or will they just keep saying it?

No the burned Tower is not rebuilt in HG/SS. Perhaps in Black and White, we will be able to go to the Johto region as it is in later years like Kanto for HG/SS.
