Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

You know what? I like that set! Although why don't you add some coverage moves?
becuase it has last resort
But Fighting types could easily ruin it. Why don't you add a move that fighting types are weak to into the set?
There probably won’t be an attack that surpasses the amazing 210 power of a STAB last resort, that’s why. There would have to be a move ATLEAST 105 power to even equal that.
Actually, there is. You haven't given Stantler an item. Teach it Psychic and give it a Psychic gem, and BOOM! You've got yourself one good Pokemon.
because it has last resort..
Funny how you've responded to a comment from almost 3 years ago

Stantler

Gen 9 PU

Stantler Is mostly known to Be.. In Untiered or PU In every Generation.. Because of It's Defense stats and It's Mediocre Speed, It can't be a Good Physical attacker and gets Outclassed by every other Normal type, But ever since Stantler got the Wyrdeer Evolution In
Pokemon Legends Arceus, It now has Access to Eviolite, It can make use of the Eviolite for It's Defenses, Here's what I run for my Stantler and I know you might make It useful too!

Stantler @ Eviolite
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hypnosis
- Shadow Ball / Psychic / Earth Power / Tera Blast
- Calm Mind
- Rest

Those are Complicated EVS, but It can be useful If used Correctly Like I said Twice.. but Here's the Set Explanation.
I go for Intimidate to lower a Physical Attacking Pokemon such as Lycanroc Midnight, Flapple, Perserrker, Dugtrio and Etc, It might last you long and you can survive, With 164 Def, you get 300 Defense, with 92 SpD you can try and Tank some Special hits, 92 SpD makes 312 Boosted with Eviolite, Hypnosis Is to put a Pokemon to sleep, It has 60% Accuracy but If you can hit it you can Spam some Calm minds, with 3 Calm minds off you get 519 Special Attack, you can hit Pokemon super hard with that and you can Use Shadow Ball for Misdreavus, Psychic for Falinks or Crabominable, Earth Power for Perserrker and Tera Blast for anything Really, Even If the Opposing Pokemon Terastallizes you can still do some Decent Chunk of damage or Maybe you can even Hit Hard with the CM Boosts to have your Teammates to finish the Opposing Pokemons, Just have a Misdreavus on your team and you'll be good.

also, rest is for recovery (Yes you may have the drawback of sleeping for 2 turns but you're bulky enough to last a hit)

This is how I would have my Stantler:

Stantler @ Leftovers

Ability: Intimidate

EVs: 252 HP / 180 Atk / 76 Spe

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)

  • Megahorn
  • Zen Headbutt
  • Wild Charge
  • Role Play

Megahorn (Really good base Attack and good for taking out Psychic types and Dark types)
Zen Headbutt (May flinch if you're faster, and counters Fighting types and Poison types)
Wild Charge (Good physical Electric move and counters Water and Flying)
Role Play (To have the opponent's Ability)

For low defenses and sad hp, it can be bulky thanks to an assault vest and it's ability intimidate
Don't hate me atg (Stantler) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Body Slam
- Sucker Punch/Zen headbutt
- Wild Charge
- Earthquake
Body Slam is STAB and can paralyze the opponent and let it outspeed, as it has decent speed. Sucker punch can help for priority or Zen Headbutt for coverage. Wild charge can help against rock/steel types that are also part flying. Earthquake can super effectively hit the 2 types that resist it's STAB. And don't hate it atg lol

Nice name. XD
Yes, atg has told me multiple times today that stantler is the worst, so I've tried to prove him wrong lol(then again, if he doesn't want to he doesn't have to. This moveset stays here tho lol)

Gen 4 NU
Stantler
Stantler @ Light Clay
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Body Slam
- Thunder Wave
- Light Screen
- Reflect

This is a screen setter set for Gen 4. Body Slam is STAB. Thunder Wave is to lower speed of opposing Pokemon. Light Screen and Reflect is to setup dual screens.

Stantler is only C rank in Viability rankings, why not something like Xatu, Gardevoir, Meganium, etc.?https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/dpp-nu-viability-ranking.3512254/
Just Because a Pokémon isn’t viable doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to answer for it on a moveset thread.
Is it against the rules to give my opinion that it's outclassed as a screen setter? I never told that it should not be allowed, so sorry if you misunderstood.

Reindeer u'd hate (Stantler) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature

  • Thunder Wave
  • Confuse Ray
  • Headbutt / Zen Headbutt
  • Disable

Possibly the most annoying set for it. Paralysis + Flinch + Confusion combo makes it really painful for the opponent. Confuse Ray is for confusion, Thunder Wave paralyses the target while Headbutt has nice 30% flinch chance. Zen Headbutt is an alternative for fighting-types at the cost of lower flinch chance and lower accuracy. Disable makes it even more mean for the opponent. With Intimidate and EVs in Defense, even mediocre defenses make it really annoying.

Gen 8 BDSP PU

Stantler @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Thunderbolt
- Energy Ball

BDSP PU is a format where Stantler is a good Normal-type. Mixed Stantler is used in BDSP PU due to its good coverage moves that let you beat certain Pokemon, and its Base Special Attack is 85, which is not that far off from its Base 95 Attack.

Double-Edge is a pretty powerful STAB move even though it's coming off a Base 95 Attack and a Life Orb. Earthquake provides coverage against Pokemon like Probopass. Thunderbolt is used to deal super effective damage to Pelipper, a Pokemon with a 4x weakness to Electric-type moves. Energy Ball provides coverage that lets you hit Golem on its weaker special defense stat as well as dealing super effective damage to Golem. Energy Ball is also used to hit Whiscash super effectively. Intimidate is used to lower the attack stat of opposing Pokemon to give you some "physical bulk".
