But he doesn't even have a crown...

GEN 9 OU

Iron Crown @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Def OR 88 HP / 252 SpA / 168 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Agility
- Calm Mind / Endure
- Tachyon Cutter / Tera Blast
- Stored Power

He has great bulk overall, so Weakness Policy sets are pretty nice. One Agility allows him to outspeed almost everything in the tier. Calm Mind to set up, but Endure can be used to survive a Super-Effective move that activates the Weakness Policy. Tachyon Cutter is STAB and can break Subs and Sashes, or you can use Tera Blast [Fighting] to make sure that mons like Kingambit don't wall you. Stored Power for obvious reasons. The latter EV spread allows you to outspeed Booster Energy IValiant after 1 Agility, and the former one just gives more bulk.

Have fun using it!

I guess I just really like this guy, so here is another set:

GEN 9 OU SCARF

Iron Crown @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fighting / Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid / Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic / Psyshock
- Focus Blast / Tera Blast [Fighting]
- Tachyon Cutter
- Volt Switch

Not really much to say here. Psychic / Psyshock is STAB and boosted by Tera Psychic. Focus Blast gives some really good coverage against opposing steels and darks, but if you hate Focus Blast (aka 95% of players), you can Tera into Fighting and use Tera Blast. Tachyon Cutter is a really good STAB move. Volt Switch is a good pivot move. This thing's movepool isn't that great, but it can still be somewhat viable.

Have fun using it!

Gen 9 Monotype Calm Mind (Psychic)

Iron Crown @ Leftovers
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Tachyon Cutter
- Psychic Noise
- Focus Blast

A Calm MInd set Iron Crown can use on Psychic teams in Gen 9 Monotype. Calm Mind boosting Iron Crown's Special Attack and Special Defense allow it to be a potent wincon. Tachyon Cutter is used for the Steel STAB since it hits twice, meaning it deals more damage than Flash Cannon. Tachyon Cutter hitting twice is useful against bulky Pokemon such as Gliscor and Garganacl. Psychic Noise is used for the Psychic STAB since its Heal Block effect lets it work as a pseudo Taunt, pseudo Knock Off, as well as damaging move, allowing it to 1v1 Pokemon such as Corviknight and Articuno, making it a nice anti Flying tech. Focus Blast allows Iron Crown to hit Steel- and Dark-types such as Kingambit, Empoleon, Heatran, and Hisuian Samurott super effectively. Leftovers is used for the item to give Iron Crown a little HP recovery each turn.

Gen 9 National Dex

Iron Crown @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 248 HP / 20 SpA / 240 SpD
Modest Nature
- Tachyon Cutter
- Volt Switch
- Psychic Noise
- Focus Blast / Future Sight

  • Iron Crown is one of the premier special sponges in the National Dex metagame, with great 90/108 special bulk and a Steel-Psychic typing that notably gives it a 4x resistance to Psychic, a resistance to Fairy, Ice and Flying, and a Fighting neutrality. These traits combine to make it the best specially defensive pivot for offensive teams and the best Tapu Lele check in the tier, as well as a great switch into Iron Valiant, Mega Diancie, Tornadus-T, Kyurem, and Serperior.
  • Tachyon Cutter is its main STAB option, notably hitting Garganacl, Mega Tyranitar and Fairy types super effectively. Volt Switch allows Iron Crown to avoid negative matchups like Volcarona and Heatran and bring in an appropriate check, it also hits Hisuian Samurott super effectively ensuring it cannot safely come in. Psychic Noise is a Psychic type STAB option that blocks healing moves and passive healing from Leftovers and Poison Heal (but not Regenerator) and is a strong hit into many Steel resistant Pokemon like Urshifu-R and Toxapex. Focus Blast rounds out its movepool by hitting its Steel type checks super effectively. Future Sight can be used for strong offensive pressure.
  • The given EV spread maximizes Iron Crown's Special bulk and with a Modest nature ensures it gains a Special Attack boost from Quark Drive when paired with Tapu Koko. Tera Fairy gives Iron Crown a resistance to Pursuit from Mega Tyranitar and Weavile.
  • Iron Crown pairs great with Tapu Koko, as it can set Electric Terrain and activate Iron Crown's Quark Drive, giving it equivalent to a Life Orb boost on its attacks, minus the recoil. It also pairs well with Pokemon that can be brought in with Volt Switch to threaten its checks. Gouging Fire can set up Dragon Dance against Heatran, Volcarona, and Ferrothorn, Iron Valiant can set up Calm Mind or Swords Dance against Darkrai, Hisuian Samurott and Mega Tyranitar. In terms of defensive synergy, Alomomola is a teammate for balance teams only that can keep Iron Crown healthy with Wish and checks Landorus-T, Heatran and Hisuian Samurott. It appreciates Iron Crown sponging hits from powerful special attackers.

Switch this thing into electric terrain (set up by a lead, or the previous Pokémon witch should then switch into this, or paired with an electric terrain setter in doubles)

Iron Crown @ Leftovers
Tera: Electric
Ability: Quark drive
EVs: 252 SpA / 40 HP / 216 Spe
Modest Nature
- Tachyon Cutter
- Tera Blast
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power

Calm mind stored power is an uncommonly used combo that works surprisingly well with this, and it gets stab. Tera Blast gets buffed on electric terrain, and buffed even more if you terastralize, which I would personally save for your ace. Tachyon cutter is it’s signature STAB.

Tera blast will be normal so it won’t have the electric terrain boost before tera
