Is it possible to use the Masuda Method transferring Pokémon from gen 3 to 4?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, it's possible to transfer Pokémon from 3rd to 4th Gen via Pal Park, right? If I transfer a 3rd Gen Pokémon that's from a Japanese game version for an American version of the 4th generation and use them for breeding, the Masuda Method will work or it only works with Pokémon of the same gen?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I assumed whether the process worked or not was dependent on:
a) the original language of the games the Pokemon came from, and
b) what generation the breeding was done in, not the original generation from which the specimens came.

If it doesn't work, then I'm guessing the reason is maybe because migrating a Pokemon screws with the data of what language game the foreign Pokemon came from in the first place? Thus assuming the language of the game it entered, rather than exited?

But this is all background theory from what I have long assumed to be the case. I have no proof on what is correct. If anything behind this take is not clear to you, let me know and I'll try to explain what I believe to be the case.

I think I understand what you mean. I think the only way to find out is to try. In the future, when possible (due to personal problems) I'll come back with an answer about the experiment.

Yes it does. I know for certain that migrating Pokemon from one generation to another keeps it's original location, (like Japan, Germany, etc.) As the game still tracks what region the OT is from, it will still track what region that Pokemon is from.
