Can this Primeape work?

Question

Well, I recently thought of a moveset for Primeape, mainly because I think he's cool, and partially because I tried to utilize Defiant as an ability.

Primeape@Focus Sash

EVs: 252 Speed/252 Attack/4 HP

Jolly Nature

• Close Combat
• Overheat
• {FLLER}
• {FILLER}

Basically, I use either CC or Overheat, depends on the Pokemon, and I get +2 Attack because of Defiant from -2 Special Attack (Overheat) or +2 Attack from - Defense and -Special Defense from CC. What do you think?

Nope. Sorry, but defiant doesn't activate with self inflicted drops.

Source is in the link. If would be cool if it did work and Primeape might actually see some use, but then again, we don't want things like Empoleon, Bisharp, Tornadus, or Thunderus abusing it do we?

Thx! Good to know. Must remove Tornadus' Hammer Arm from a planned moveset ;)
